The Food and Beverage Innovation Centre (FBIC), a Technology Access Centre (TAC), supports industry innovation and commercialization of new food and beverage products and processes through its 5,700 square feet of research labs and technical facilities. From new recipe and concept development to product development, prototyping, shelf-life testing, and small batch processing in our Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)-certified, Canadian food Inspection Agency (CFIA) licenced beverage processing pilot plant and optimization labs, FBIC pairs industry partners with staff, faculty, graduates and students with the right expertise and equipment to meet their needs. FBIC partners routinely with Niagara College’s Teaching Brewery, Teaching Winery/Cidery, and Teaching Distillery – all licenced and fully functional commercial learning enterprises to providing end-to-end product development and commercialization supports.
